Linguee

Linguee is a dictionary app, which cannot only be used online, but also offline. Results in your word search are displayed in a matter of seconds, word proposals are already given when you tap the first letters. Important additional features as the part-of-speech and further references e.g. concerning the die frequency of use help in the classification of the results. The translations are supplemented by example sentences in the two languages chosen. For each word, language files are available, which can be heared in a comfortabe manner. Further, the pronounciation is distinguished between British English and American English.

The translation suggestions are further supplemented by numerous external sources with examples in different context – also in longer and unusual phrases.

The electronic source of reference Linguee provides a very good support in the tarnslation of texts. Especially the example sentences for the single items of vokabulary make sure that they are used according to their corresponding meaning.
