Last May 20th at the Secondary School of AEFV in Figueiró dos Vinhos started a teacher training course entitled “Teaching and Learning with iPads” which will be held during the months of May and June 2017. Twenty-one attendees are enrolled in this course which is one of the multiplier events foreseen in our Erasmus+ Project MICOOL – Mobile Intercultural Cooperative Learning. It was credited with 15 hours by CENFORMAZ (Centro de Formação da Associação de Escolas do Mar ao Zêzere), the regional teacher training centre. The teacher trainers are Clara Grebe and Claudino Nunes, both part of the school staff. The first session has already taken place, on a Saturday, and lasted seven hours. Participant teachers are getting in touch with iPads basics, collaborative tools like Padlet, Mindmeister and Popplet, assessment tools such as Socrative and Kahoot, film editing with iMovie, presentation tools like Keynote, Explain Everything or Book Creator, among others. So far, the group has been very willing to learn, showing great enthusiasm, creativity and wit. We are looking forward for the next session…
